Online Communication-Rana

Image
Rana  is an ecological design company that specializes in creating landscapes and botanical features that support and restore the earth. Does the company do a good job communicating on its website and social media platforms? Provide examples. This company's website is beautifully designed to showcase their deep respect and outlook in the creation of ecologically sound landscape designs. The front page includes an attractive moving image of a redwood forest, a significant tree species on California's central coast. Regarding their social media platforms, I think they could be more active in displaying their outstanding designs. On the company website, what is featured at the top, in the middle, and at the bottom of the home page? Why do you think they have it organized this way? In your opinion, is it effective? The top of the company's site includes its logo, main goal/mission statements, a moving image of a redwood forest, and at the top right corner, tabs leading to their...

Living in a Digital World

They explain how these labels imply that instructors are less knowledgeable about digital aspects in an educational setting. They declare that the skills and competence requir...

Is it just a phase?...

Personal relationships take effort to make them successful, with each individual needing to put in equal amounts of work. However, not all relationships are meant to last... According to the Knapp's Relationship Model , the differentiating phase occurs when a couple begins to think individually, rather than with their partner.  In my personal relationship, this differentiating phase began when I took a trip to New Zealand with my daughter to visit my sister. I considered the possibility of us moving there and shared this with my partner early in our relationship. It hurt him that I was contemplating a life without him, which I understood. However, the well-being of my daughter and myself was my top priority and he felt left out. We began drifting apart because the topic of moving away was uncomfortable to bring up...though the possibility brought me a bright outlook on a possible new future, he was left to feel abandoned. I became detached because I did not want to invest in ...

Social Media...How many likes?

Image
Is there an ideal number of  "friends" or connections individuals can have on social media that can improve their mental health?... Social media has its advantages and disadvantages. For some, seeing the number of followers increase may serve as a temporary boost in self-esteem and dopamine. Seeing the amount of "likes" your picture receives, or the number of views your video has collected can serve to brighten one's day, especially when someone you're interested in has left a "like" or comment on your post...but how long does that feeling last? How many of these "friends" are genuine, healthy connections. I think everyone enjoys positive feedback on topics shared, but many calculate the amount of those likes into their view of their self-worth, which can in turn affect their  mental health . Do social networking sites have any responsibility in promoting mental health in their users? If so, how might they go about doing so? I think socia...
